This is a photograph I took of some tulips in downtown Bellingham. There was a sunspot right above them so I decided to put it in Photoshop and black out the background. I think it turned out pretty good. I love how the tulips glow:)
There are a couple of places like this in Bellingham where you can drop off things you don’t want anymore. You can also take anything for free. I think it is such a great idea. Less stuff goes to the landfill…
We went to see Matt Costa. Kyle loves his music. He is more of a fan than I and it was fun seeing his stars-struck face:) This is Kyle’s favorite song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrcEQucvokE
This was the first time trying this kind of cheese. It is pretty expensive. It usually sells for around $5. But, for 99 cents I couldn’t pass it up! The reason why it was so cheap was that the expiration date was in a couple of days. I found it at The Market at Lakeway in Bellingham. It is great on crackers and on pizza and pasta.
I went skiing at Mt. Baker a while ago and this was my view! This is Mt. Shuksan.
I had heard about Dr. Bronner’s but never bought it. I finally bought some and I love it! There are so many uses. I use it as a face wash, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and laundry soap. It smells good and I love that you can recognize a lot of the ingredients in it. It contains water, organic coconut oil, potassium hydroxide, organic olive oil, lavandin extract, organic hemp oil, organic jojoba oil, lavender extract, citric acid and tocopherol. A little bit goes a long way.
This is a new vegan pudding I found! I love this stuff. Kyle likes Butterscotch.
After skiing at Mt. Baker I stopped at Nooksack Falls. What a gorgeous waterfall! The falls are a short 2/3 mile drive off of the Mt. Baker Highway. Even though I didn’t have a tripod with me I still used a slow shutter speed to get the blurred effect. I will have to bring my tripod next time and maybe get a shot from below.
First time trying this company! It is soooo good. The flavor is amazing. It is a bit pricey even with the coupon I had but was definitely a treat. I made a stir fry with it. (Kale, Quinoa, Carrots, Onions, Garlic). yum!
View of Bellingham on a nice Spring day:)
This is Anais Mitchell and Jefferson Hamer at the Green Frog. They were very good. They are both folk singers. Kyle and I had seen Anais in Vermont and I was excited to see her name pop up in the music magazine here. Listen here:
