Daiya Mozzarella Style Shreds

In Sanskrit, Dayaa means “loving, kindness and compassion”.

Daiya Foods Inc. is located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Daiya Mozzarella Style Shreds are cholesterol free, trans fat-free, and free of preservatives. Ingredients include tapioca and/or arrowroot flours, coconut oil, salt, vegetable glycerin, xanthan gum, and citric acid.

I loved cheese before going vegan. In my opinion, Daiya nor any other vegan cheese I have tried comes close to the same texture and taste as cheese. The taste of Daiya is kind of weird to me. However, if you use it sparsely it isn’t bad and I like how it melts. Make sure to use it within 1 week of opening. It goes bad fast. I recommend using it melted on burgers, pizzas, and burritos. Also, remember that this is not a very healthy product and should not be used on a regular basis.

  1. oh to have decent vegan cheese in australia!!!!!!!!
    I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have to make my own in order for it to taste ok!!!! lol
